Precourt Pioneering Projects

  • Tackle urgent and important problems in energy
  • Support undeveloped research areas, targeted call, focused area
  • Build strong collaborative team, 3-4 faculty members
  • Nucleate/build initiative/cross-campus collaboration of programs
  • Attract vast new funding
  • $450,000 – per project, for 2 years

Strategic Energy Research Consortium

  • Calls every 2/3 years, funded 6 projects in 2021

TomKat Solutions

  • Funding to enable the development of rapidly deployable solutions to urgent problems in energy and the environment.
  • Program helps teams move their solutions from ideation to deployment.
  • 3 phased funding based on milestones and deliverables.

TomKat Graduate Fellowships for Translational Research

  • Support advanced doctoral students (third year and beyond)
  • Support the development of applied research that has the potential to address sustainable energy and sustainable resource utilization challenges
  • Stipend and tuition for up to 2 years

TomKat Center Innovation Transfer Program
