Main content start

Stanford researchers are studying the impact of existing energy systems on climate change, as well potential solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Key research areas include carbon capture and storage technologies, the role of nuclear power, the impact of biofuels, and the feasibility of converting to wind, water and solar energy on a massive scale. Other researchers are conducting lifecycle analyses of conventional and renewable energy technologies and their longterm return on investment.
