Superconductors

Main content start

Superconductors – materials that conduct electricity without resistance at extremely low temperatures – have the potential to reduce congestion on the electrical grid when demand is high. At Stanford, researchers are developing novel materials that could lead to the construction of practical superconductors capable of operating at higher temperatures.
