Fedrico López de Alba

Federal Electricity Commission, Mexico

Fedrico López de Alba is acting manager for Environmental Protection, including Climate Change, Social Responsibility (ESG Management) at Comisión Federal de Electricidad (Federal Electricity Commission), Mexico, and is responsible of Environmental and Climate Change compliance for CFE’s system. He has occupied several positions in the Mexican Government in areas of environmental pollution control, energy strategic planning and territorial planning. He has served as an advisor to the Mexican Senate in environment, energy and territorial planning. In the Ministry of Interior, he served as part of National Coordination on Civil Protection. He has also represented Mexico’s Government in several international negotiations in environment, climate change, transboundary pollution, and land use planning. Has published multiple articles in specialized journals in environmental management, occupational safety and health, climate change and civil protection management. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Guanajuato, a MSc. in chemical engineering, with a major in environmental engineering, from Manhattan College, N.Y. USA; a MA. in economics, and major in development planning, University of the Americas; Mexico. Sc.D. Management Sciences, major: public administration, from Mexico National Polytechnic Institute.
