Speaker: Lara Pierpoint

Seminar Abstract: Lara Pierpoint will discuss how Actuate Climate is conducting systems innovation that breaks through technical and institutional roadblocks to accelerate mass emissions reductions. The two areas of focus will be demand response to support renewables adoption and EV charging infrastructure build-out.

Speaker Bio: Lara Pierpoint works for Actuate, where she designs and runs programs for rapid deployment of emissions-reducing technology. Prior, she led the Corporate Strategy technical team at Exelon and directed the Office of Energy Supply Security in the US DOE Office of Policy and Systems Analysis. Lara received her PhD in Engineering Systems and MS in Nuclear Engineering from MIT, and her BS in physics at UCLA.
