Are you interested in learning about innovative policy and financial mechanisms designed to rapidly decarbonize the global economy? Drop by SFI’s monthly lunch seminar to meet our faculty and fellows and learn more about our ongoing research projects.

Esther Choi, SFI Research Fellow, will discuss her research on blended finance. Blended finance is defined as the strategic use of public and philanthropy finance to crowd-in private sector financing that would otherwise not be available to projects with high-climate impact. As a structuring mechanism, blended finance has been receiving a highly concerted and renewed focus as a catalytic tool to mobilize the volume of finance needed to secure decarbonization pathways, particularly in developing and emerging countries.
