Joe Paluska is responsible for all aspects of communications at a worldwide level for Better Place. He oversees communication of the company’s vision, strategy, and execution. Specific areas of responsibility include global media relations, messaging, investor and industry analyst relations, and public affairs. In this role, he also works closely with Better Place operating companies at the country or regional level. With nearly 20 years of communications experience, Paluska helped lead Better Place through its official launch in 2007 to its current position as the world’s leading mobility operator. Before joining Better Place, Paluska led Hill & Knowlton's Worldwide Technology Practice, the firm's largest industry sector, where he orchestrated the launch of Better Place, among other achievements. In this role, he advised and worked closely with the leadership teams of leading technology companies, including eBay, Cisco, Deloitte, HP, Motorola, Qualcomm, Symantec, THX, VantagePoint Venture Partners, and Yahoo!, on matters of strategic communications, global competitiveness and corporate reputation. As head of Hill & Knowlton's Clean Tech team, Paluska led the firm's inaugural research, "Return on Environment," defining an emerging C-suite role for managing a company's commitment to the environment and measuring the return on investment of the so-called triple bottom line of people, profits and planet. Paluska holds an MBA in finance from Lehigh University, and a B.S. in finance and economics from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.
