Energy Research for the 21st Century

Interested in energy?  Want to meet energy experts at Stanford?  This is one program you do not want to miss!

Jumpstart your energy education at Stanford. Build your personal energy network at Stanford. Learn about current research from over 30 renowned Stanford energy faculty and expert speakers. Develop a broad perspective on energy. Network and meet Silicon Valley energy entrepreneurs. Visit Stanford’s state-of-the-art Central Energy Facility and take an optional half-day tour of SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.

Energy@Stanford & SLAC is a multi-day conference for 120 incoming Stanford graduate and professional school students interested in energy. This course will allow you to learn about the depth and breadth of energy research at Stanford, grow your personal cross-campus network, meet Stanford energy faculty, attend in-depth interactive elective classes of your choice, compete in the Energy & Carbon Market team challenge, and build an interdisciplinary community across campus. Friday, September 15th will feature an optional half-day tour of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. An energy background is not required; students from all schools and departments are encouraged to apply.

Who: Up to 120 incoming Stanford graduate and profession school students
(returning graduate students early in their studies can still apply)
Location: On campus
Monday - Thursday, September 11 -14
Friday, September 15 (optional half-day)
Time: 8:30 am – 7:30 pm (including breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
